Unit 9: The Norman Conquests

[dropcap type=”box”]I[/dropcap]n this unit we will be studying the Conquests of Italy and England by the Normans. The Normans were descendants of the Northman that we studied in Unit 7. Their conquest on England was profoundly important as it set the stage for the great nation that England became in the future. The most prominent of the Norman kings are Edward the Confessor and William the Conqueror; the latter of the two will be studied in this unit.
